Who are we?
Our Mission
Just put the Elevator Pitch texts here so we can read them.
TDS is expert at estimating, calculating and measuring the energy performance of both domestic and commercial premises. This information is used to develop a highly detailed building energy performance model which can be used to create and then refine a cost optimal system.
to blend the available energy technologies to accurately interpret and deliver the client’s requirements.
The “digital twin” developed by this process is converted into an intelligent building energy management controller with the ability to collect, monitor and evaluate operational data and use this together with relevant external inputs to modify subsequent behaviour to optimise performance according to the previously defined requirements.
Information considered may include:
Physical factors e.g. aspect, construction climate, space or noise.
Economic factors e.g. Lowest CAPEX OPEX or Carbon creation Value for money.
Installation restrictions e.g. Power supply
Occupant issues e.g. High DHW demand or operational simplicity
Lawrence Liao Founder
Lawrence Liao is a thermal engineer who worked for several years modelling the geophysics of the oil and gas sector where he led large software teams. His focus is on finding the optimal energy and decarbonisation solution for clients considering their circumstances and preferences. He is an expert on using computer simulations combining fluid dynamics and artificial intelligence. He studied at Imperial College.
Nic Wincott Renewable Energy Integrator
Nic Wincott has been involved in the green energy sector for several years as an entrepreneur, project manager and consultant. He is a specialist at integrating different forms of renewable energy. He was formerly head of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association and holds a patent on an innovative ground source technology. His recent projects include deep drilling for a ground source heat pump in central London, recovering heat from a waste-water treatment plant and designing the multi-source energy solution for an off-grid community pub. Nic has a degree in business and IT.
John Foley Commercial Director
John oversees the economic viability of each project considering the balance between upfront and ongoing costs. He has a wide background in energy. His thesis was on radioactive waste disposal at Sellafield; he worked as a corporate strategist for Total Oil, acted as a consultant to the Ministry of Petroleum in Saudi Arabia and was head of Pumped Storage for the National Grid. He studied at Oxford University. He lives in an all-electric home having discontinued his domestic gas supply.
